La Levain – Unique Alcoholic Snowskin Mooncakes and Flaky Teochew Mooncakes

Mooncakes are never boring with La Levain‘s handcrafted gems.

Introducing the Liqueur-infused Truffle Centre Snowskin Mooncakes ($86 for eight) and Traditional Teochew Spiral Flaky Layer Mooncakes ($82 for six), co-owner and executive chef Wythe Ng adds a modern, creative touch to each mooncake. Enjoy an explosion of flavours like no where else.

Currently, La Levain has a pop-up booth at Takashimaya mid-autumn festive mooncake fair. Early bird promotions include 25% off for one box and 30% off for two boxes.

The Liqueur Truffle Snowskin Mooncakes are available in four flavours (two each) – Boozy Apricot Passion Fruit, Boozy Ispahan, Boozy Yuzu Pomme and Strawberry Lime Truffle (Non-alcoholic).

Each piece is impressive, like a dessert by itself, while boasting an impactful alcoholic kick. For instance, the Boozy Ispahan is an exquisite combination of mung bean cream cheese filling elevated with raspberry chocolate bits and opalys crunchy pearls, surrounding a velvety smooth lychee liqueur-infused lychee rose ganache.

As for the baked Teochew mooncakes, the flavours are Molten Salted Egg, Bobo Chacha Mochi and Black Sesame Latte. Just the name itself is enough to leave me salivating.
