Lavish Fusion Bakery Penang – Sakura Fuwa-Fuwa Souffle Pancakes

 

Who can resist these jiggly souffle pancakes that can melt hearts even? 

Located along Lebuh Victoria, Lavish Fusion Bakery, also the brainchild of Love A Loaf, is where you can find baked goods such as bread and pastries, alongside an extensive menu of savouries, signature souffle pancakes and smoothies. 

This cafe is such a darling because they serve one of the wobbliest fuwa-fuwa souffle pancakes plus you get to savour every bite of this against a nice interior backdrop. Otherwise, lie back in the ‘alfresco’ where a well-adorned wall of greeneries and cushy sofa surrounds a communal table. The vibe is simply perfect for that Instagram moment too. 

The fuwa-fuwa souffle pancake, coolly named Basic, Stay Cool RM18.50 comes with the standard toppings of vanilla ice cream, strawberries, maple syrup and snowy cream. 

Go adventurous with the Sakura Contemplation RM 24.90 and Durian’s Lust RM24.90 (which is amazingly paired with shredded coconut and pandan agar pudding) or fruity/flavourful ones like Jealousy of Mango RM22.90, Matcha Comfort RM23.90 and Flirty Chocolate RM22.90.

We tried the Sakura Contemplation, labelled as their best-seller too.

The pinkish dessert has no lack of pink elements, starting from the sakura ice cream, fresh strawberries and strawberry jelly, to sprinkles of pink soil and pink snowy cream cascading down the three stacks of souffle pancakes.

 

The ice cream was surprisingly more like cream than the usual icy type. The souffle pancakes, on the other hand, fared better with its airy fluffy-like interior. It’s not eggy at all.

 

The smoothies are so boldly named that I felt like I was reading a cocktail menu. At RM16.20 you can have your share of being a Crazy Rich Mango (with mango, yuzu and lemon juice), or have your Wild Lemon (with lemon and wildberry syrup). The accompanying mandarin quotes struck confidence into your drinks.

And of course, we had to get one to empower ourselves with one of these Goddess drinks. The Mango Madness RM16.20 comes with slices of kiwi peeking through the glass, and a blend of mango yoghurt, blackberry, strawberry and apple juice.
