KSL D’Esplanade Residence Studio Apartment by Royale Homestay

Airbnb has become an essential part of travelling nowadays. Whether it is a fanciful place with themed rooms, affordably priced or conveniently located near certain districts, you can simply find your desired accommodation online. For those used to traveling light or a frequent backpacker, it wouldn’t be ideal to splurge on extravagant hotel stays anyway. Especially when travelling to somewhere near home country, wouldn’t we all want to save up and spend more on food and activities instead!

With that in mind, this Valentine’s Day, I took a trip to KSL City and stayed in a studio apartment just right beside KSL City Mall. The accommodation provider was Royale Homestay which also hosts studio apartment on Airbnb in Singapore too.

One of the apartments that I stayed in at KSL D’Esplanade Residence was the Sapphire Studio Apartment. D’Esplanade Residence consists of apartments up to level 39 where you can get a bird’s eye view out of your window.

The night sky was really beautiful.

There is an adjoining pool area and you can swim as close to the ledge as possible.

Some of the apartments come with a private pool area as well. How convenient!

There is a gym and playground too.

Walking into the studio apartment made me felt like entering a house. There were the basic necessities of what constituted a home such as the TV console, an open-spaced kitchen, dining table, work space, bed and bean bag.

The apartment is rather spacious, brightly lit and could probably fit three to four pax. Wifi is provided too.

And since it’s Valentine’s Day, I received a warm gesture from the host with a lovingly decorated room.

You can even whip up a meal in the kitchen because everything you need from the built-in stove and rice cooker to cutleries, plates, knives and fridge are available at your disposal.

The toilet has a tub and like a hotel, shampoo, soap, toothbrushes and shower caps are all provided.

Looking down from my window, I could see the pool.

All in all, I enjoyed my stay. It was cosy and super accessible to KSL City mall. The neighbourhood felt safe as only card holders could tap in and take the lift up to their respective apartments.

Surrounding D’Esplanade Residence are other recommended popular eateries such as the Soon Soon Heng Bak Kut Teh Restoran, KSL Night Market and Cedar Point Food Court for a taste of Malaysian food. Major attractions are also reachable by car and public transport.

What’s there not to love!
