Le Matin Patisserie opens at Paragon with Quality French Pastries like Escargot Croissant and Fermented Mushroom Quiche

Le Matin Patisserie, the brainchild of Singaporean Chef Mohamed Al-Matin, has opened its second outlet at Paragon Shopping Centre. Though the bakery holds less variety as compared to its flagship outlet at 77 Robinson Road, it’s outlet-exclusive high tea set and more accessible location would certainly make many rejoice.

During my visit, available signatures include the popular Escargot Escargot $13, Fermented Mushroom Quiche $12, Kouign Amann $7.50, Canelé $5.50, Pain Au Chocolat, Pistachio Escargot, Almond Croissant $7.50 and Croissant $4.50.

The pastries are top-notch, flaky and crunchy on the exterior. The Escargot Escargot, especially, is an amazing piece of art. Boasting several pieces of escargot encased in mushroom riccota custard and topped with fragrant garlic crumbs and tasty parsley chimichurri, the savoury snail-shaped croissant pastry is nothing short of expectation.
