Maruamami’s Mochi Obanyaki is back at Takashimaya Food Fiesta with flavours like Black Sesame, Purple Sweet Potato and Durian

Popular Japanese dessert brand, Maruamami, is back at Takashimaya Food Fiesta, from 6 to 17 October 2022.

Even though the store was spotting a long queue during lunch time, it moved quickly.

Check out the assorted Mochi Obanyaki, available in flavours like Red Bean, Egg Custard, Chocolate, Black Sesame, Purple Sweet Potato and Durian. They are priced at $3.80 for one and $10 for three. For the durian flavour, they are priced at $5.80 for one and $15 for three. Churned straight from the pan, they are served hot in food wrappers.

The mochi obanyaki is really soft and chewy and generously filled. The red bean and black sesame flavours are superb and tasted like the real deal whereas the egg custard filling is flowy and on the sweeter side.

After this event, from 18 November to 4 December 2022, Maruamami will be at Meidi-Ya, Great World City.
