Good news for card game lovers! Gather your like-minded buddies for a round of Happy Dim Sum $20 and Check Out! The Convenience Store $25. Inspired by our love for local food and snacks, discover familiar illustrations on the cards and immerse yourself in the exciting gameplay while bonding with your playmates.

These two Singaporean-based card games are the works of Mercat Games, a brand under the award-winning Capital Gains Studio which is known for developing relatable games for educational, training and branding purposes.

Happy Dim Sum

Available for pre-orders now, Happy Dim Sum is an easy and fun family game that might make you crave for dim sum after a round or two. The objective of the game, ironically, is to stuff the other diners full of dim sum without getting full yourself. So, how about making a bet? The winner (who’s starving!) gets treated to a dim sum meal!

The deck consists of 60 dim sum cards, 9 daily special cards and 39 action cards where you can battle for the bill, yum cha a dish to someone and even kiap a card from another’s hand.

The artwork depicting the various dim sum pieces is simply adorable and drool-worthy. Here, you can find classic dim sum like Har Gow, Siew Mai, Carrot Cake, Lor Mai Gai, Xiao Long Bao, Char Siew Bao and more.

Check Out! The Convenience Store

Check Out! reimagines the scene of our local convenience store. To win the game, shoppers (like us) have to try to claim as much products as possible with the least number of dice, to earn points.

The gameplay is progressive, beginning with a frenzy shopping spree (dices rolling and matching to the cards), to checking out (last-minute grabbing of promotional products) and earning tokens for being the best (dice) saver. The rule might seemed long initially, but it’s pretty straightforward! Play and you would get it!

Items making an appearance, range from snacks (e.g. Panda Crackers) and ready-to-eat meals (e.g. Mao Tofu and Sushi Set) to beverages like Carton Milk and Energy Drink.

There are dices of six different colours, hence the game can accommodate up to six players.
