Merci Marcel (Palais Renaissance) – Beautiful French Restaurant for brunch and dinner date. Islandwide Delivery available.

Merci Marcel has been a hype back when it first opened at Tiong Bahru, featuring a pretty Instagram-worthy decor and tasty brunch.

Now, its third and latest outlet at Palais Renaissance brings the same feel and taste to town. During labour day off-in-lieu, I proposed to my brunch date to head over together for a meal. The interior of the restaurant is breathtaking. Aim for a spot in the alfresco or the cushy-looking window seat if you could.

We ordered the Barramundi Tartare $24 and Tarte Flambée $26 to try.

Merci Marcel’s interesting rendition of the Barramundi Tartare showcases ceviche served in chilled coconut-based Tiger’s Milk. Toss in some diced creamy avocado and pickled red onion as well as a side of chewy flatbread, this dish delivers a medley of flavours.

The Tarte Flambée is also good in its own. The ultra thin pizza comes crispy at the edges and topped with melted reblochon cheese, grapes and savoury smoked duck breast.
