Miam Miam: CNY Yu Sheng and New Dessert For Valentine’s Day

For this coming Chinese New Year and fast-approaching Valentine’s Day on 14th February, Miam Miam has rolled out two new dishes – the Yu Sheng named Tower of Wealth, and a new dessert called Symphony of Love

Celebrate CNY 2017 with ‘Tower Of Wealth’ Yu Sheng

Bored of the usual Lou Hei in Chinese restaurant? Here’s a different take with Miam Miam’s Japanese-inspired Yu Sheng – Tower of Wealth.

Shaped like a tower, the layers of shredded carrot, radish and cucumber are crowned by a medley of ingredients which consist of smoked salmon, jellyfish, scallops, seaweed, garden nuts, chuka kurage, crispy vegetable swirls, sweet pomelo and most importantly, the golden fish chips. Each mouthful of Yu Sheng is bound to be filled with an explosion of textures with the crunchy, sweet and tangy flavours marrying together.

Miam Miam also has a description of what each ingredient in the Yu Sheng means. And just when you are running out of Chinese auspicious phrases, refer to this for some ideas!

Currently there is also a promotion for Miam Miam’s Tower of Wealth.

2-3 Pax:

$22.80 (Lou Hei)

$38.80 (Lou Hei with 2 Refreshing Fruit Tea, UP $36.60)

4-5 Pax:

$38.80 (Lou Hei)

$58.80 (Lou Hei with 4 Refreshing Fruit Tea, UP $67.40)

Valentine’s Day New Dessert: Symphony Of Love

This beautiful dessert consists of four pancakes moulded into the shape of button flower (think Kueh Balu). They come in four different flavours: Vanilla, Matcha, Red Velvet and Chocolate. And because it is valentine, each pancake is topped with the meringue lettering to form the word LOVE! How sweet is that.

The pancakes are moist and filled with cream fillings.

Signature Main Courses

Glazed Teriyaki Chicken Donburi $14.90 comes with a generous amount of tender chicken chunks and Japanese leeks, topped off with Wafu tofu and sliced baby radish and cucumber. Tasty rice bowl that is on the sweeter side. The rice is well mixed with the sauce as well to ensure most parts are covered. On the menu, there are also pork or fish fillet donburi to choose from besides chicken.

One of my favourite is the Mentaiko King Crab Aglio Olio $20.90, served in a huge portion. Topped with a handful of Alaskan King Crab meat covered with Mentaiko sauce, it is best to mix everything together before you devour this.

Miam Miam’s signature Soufflé De Nuage $16.90 is a must try. The base is filled with meat and tomato-sauteed rice while the top resembles a fluffy cloud that is made of egg and cheese. The soft texture makes it really easy to eat. It can get quite cheesy after a while so best shared it your dining partner!

Iced Fruit Tea $5.90 (Cold)/ $6.90 (Hot)
