Omoomo Nasi Lemak-inspired Rice Bowls & Udon below $10 in Suntec

Asian fusion is sure having its moment in our F&B scene; not that I’m complaining. Known for its fuss-free Korean Japanese fusion bowls, Omoomo has added six new bowls to its SAMBAL-ICIOUS menu.

Inspired by our age-old favourite, the Nasi Lemak, Omoomo’s new bowls feature rice and udon bowls garnished with fiery sambal chilli paste, ikan billis, and peanuts. Priced from $8 to $10, these generously portioned bowls are delicious and filling. Diners with smaller appetites can also opt for the mini-bowls which go from $5 to $6.

The cheekily named Ski the Chickyland ($9) and Pick-Up Chicks ($9) are two standout dishes from the SAMBAL-ICIOUS line. Both are served with Korean white rice and sticks of succulent Yakitori chicken, with the main difference being the additional ingredient of sambal winglets and Kimchi egg respectively. Overall, two well put together dishes that are delicious enough to satisfy lunch or dinner time cravings for both local and Korean cuisine.

The Chixsaw Puzzle ($8) is my favourite, with the slurpilicious udon cooked perfectly al dente and topped with nori, ikan billis, peanuts, and kimchi for extra texture and flavour.

The SAMBAL-ICIOUS bowls will be available till 6 July, so don’t miss out. Grab a meal buddy and share a Twin Combo Set ($20), served with two drinks and sides! If spice is not your thing, you can still grab regular flavours like Bird’s Nest ($10).
