Pronto Singapore – Italian-Japanese Casual Restaurant & Bar at Gochi Church Street Japan Kitchen
If you’ve been to Japan, you could not miss a Pronto at just about every turn. Boasting 330 stores in Japan, this is the chain’s second foray outside Japan, the first being in Shanghai.
Pronto serves Italian-Japanese casual cuisine with a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu; in the evenings, the casual diner serves delectable highballs and Suntory Premium Malts beers for those seeking an after-work tipple.
Co-owned by Suntory and UCC, Pronto serves up UCC coffee and cold brews for breakfast together with an array of grilled sandwiches and croissants. The bar serves Jim Beam highballs in several flavours including the popular grapefruit; alcohol from the Suntory stable of brands such as Suntory Whisky and Maker’s Mark; and beers from the Suntory Premium Malts range that includes the uber-premium Master’s Dream.
Lunch menu-wise, diners have a choice of Italian-inspired Japanese pasta dishes such as Crab and Broccoli Arrabiata ($18++) or a Salmon and Avocado Basil Cream pasta ($13++); for vegetarians, there are choices of a cream pasta with mushroom or a Mozzarella and tomato sauce pasta.
In the evening from 5pm, in addition to the lunch menu, there are moreish tapas offerings such as the Parma Ham Carpet (Full carpet $14++/Half $10++) and you can add a salad ($5++/Half $3++) and frozen grapes ($1++) to go with your drinks.
The interior is synonymously Pronto with lush green hues and wooden furnishings for a comfortable and cozy environment to enjoy food, drinks and company.
Whether if it is a seat at the bar watching people walking by or inside the inner sanctum and away from the maddening crowd, Pronto offers something for everybody.
