Ramen King, Tang Plaza Hawkers’ Street – Spicy Kurobuta Toroniku Ramen

A new food haven has landed in the basement of Tang Plaza. Home to 15 heritage stalls, including six Michelin-recommended gems, Hawkers’ Street guarantees a feast worth coming for.

One of the popular eats here is Ramen King, founded by Chef Simon, who previously worked at Hokkaido Ramen Santouka. One can look forward to piping hot restaurant-style ramen without breaking the bank.

There are ramen options like Spicy Tonkotsu, Spicy Miso, and Miso, paired with assorted sides for a complete dining experience.

A bowl of ramen starts from $8.90. You can also choose to have it with char siu or elevate with kurobuta toroniku.

The Spicy Kurobuta Toroniku Ramen $16 makes for a satisfying bowl, featuring silky-rich pork bone broth, tender pork cheek slices, crunchy wood ear mushrooms, thin, firm noodles, and a (must-have) glorious ajitama.

Each mouthful of everything is hearty and comforting.

The broth is slurp-worthy.

The sides are equally tempting with choices such as Gyoza (Original, Cheese, Vegetarian, or Fried), Ebi Fry ($7.80 for four), and Karaage ($5 for three), to name a few.

The Gyoza ($3 for three, $5 for five) is nicely pan-fried, with juicy, flavourful filling.
