rrooll – Specialty Cinnamon Rolls at Jewel Changi Airport available in sweet & savoury options

Singapore’s first-ever specialty cinnamon rolls kiosk, rrooll, has opened at Jewel Changi Airport. Tuck into these cinnamon rolls ($3.10-3.90), made of soft fluffy buns swirled with eight different flavour combinations, from the classic Cinnamon and Cocoa Orange to savoury options like Garlic Onion Cheese, Sweet Cheese and Hawaiian.

For those who find cinnamon rolls often too sweet to their liking, the savoury version is an interesting take on the roll and makes a great alternative (which I personally enjoyed more too!)

At 10cm in diameter, the portion is just nice for a light breakfast or tea break. Fun fact: The cinnamon used in the making of the rolls is a Grade A cinnamon sourced from Korintje, Indonesia, also known for their cinnamon.

If you are wondering how the name of the shop came about, founder Wilbert Tedja explains that the double alphabets (r, o, i) reflects the duality (sweet and savoury) of the cinnamon rolls as well as a symbolism of the kneading process where the dough is stretched.
