RWS Street Eats 2018 – Savour popular Hawker Food from over 20 stalls at Malaysian Food Street
RWS Street Eats is back for its second edition at none other than Malaysian Food Street. Featuring Southeast Asia’s most iconic street delights by renowned chefs from Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Singapore, this journey of flavours promises to delight the most ardent of foodies at Resorts World Sentosa!
Aside from an array of stalls selling anything from unicorn themed macarons and soft serve melon bowls, to murtabak manis and polo buns, six of Malaysian Food Street’s regular stalls will be whipping up special curated dishes from now till 19 August.
Admission is free, and the event is ongoing till 19 August (with premises closed on 18 August for a private event.
Selected items including drinks, Phad Thai, Flying Roti Canai, Ayam Penyet Belado, and Sempalit Curry Chicken are available from 9am (with others going on sale at 11am), so you can get your morning fix before heading off to other attractions like Universal Studios Singapore or RWS SEA Aquarium!
Exclusive to this event is also Dr Leslie Tay’s (aka ieatishootipost) Singaporean take on Vietnamese summer rolls – Shiok Summer Rolls which feature satay pork belly and strawberries alongside fresh vegetables, rice noodles, and peanut dipping sauce with pineapple!
Definitely shiok and refreshing on the palate, especially with the strawberries adding a sweet and sour note to an otherwise savoury dish. 50 portions are available daily.
You can also catch Malaysian Chef Zainal Abidin in action as he flips and spins Roti Canai dough right before your eyes.
Top Chef Vietnam 2014 Finalist Chef Steven Long’s Summer Rolls will also be on sale for diners seeking a more traditional Vietnamese treat.
