Shu Liu Xiang Chongqing Suan La Fen 蜀留香正宗重慶酸辣粉 offers a range of hot and sour noodles topped with various ingredients.
Upon entering, patrons will order and make payment via a machine near the entrance before sitting down.
Spice level is customisable. I had the classic Chongqing Hot and Sour Noodle NT $119 in the spiciest level, which was still manageable.
The noodle is thick and chewy and soaks up the moreish soup well. There are other ingredients like crunchy peanuts, coriander, diced onions and cabbage within, such that each mouthful of noodle is never boring.
The restaurant makes a quiet spot for a weekday supper.
