Taman Connaught Night Market – KL Longest Pasar Malam opens every Wednesday

Taman Connaught Night Market in Kuala Lumpur opens every Wednesday from 5PM till late. The pasar malam comprises of a long stretch of stalls, selling cooked food, drinks, produces, fruits, clothes, bags and more. Even before night sets in, it is already bustling with activities and people.

It is best to alight at one end and walk down to the other end. There’s limited parking lot by the roadside and the road will start to jam as it gets later.

There are many stalls that are selling the same things so if you have time, take a walk down to see and up again to make your purchases. Some stalls have bigger crowds and they appear to have been featured before or probably have tastier street food.

Some highlights here include Green Peas Muah Chee, Taiwanese Wheel Cake, Assorted Dumplings, Crispy Shrimp Cake, Cute Animal Buns, Dim Sum, Cake in a Box and more.

The animal buns come in different filling and are so adorable.

There is a stall called The Angry Prawn, that cooks seafood on the spot. Choose from giant prawns, crabs, mussels, clams, and scallops to be prepared with your choice of sauce such as Salted Egg, Kam Heong and Tom Yum.

The prawns are flame-torched till cooked.

Another must-try is from the QQ Chongqing Suan La Fen stall that comes with a queue. The noodle is thick and chewy while the soup is spicy, sourish and flavourful.

The Chilli Crab Lava Buns might seem like a novelty but tasted better than expected. It is filled with saucy crab meat, and is slightly spicy.

Not to be missed, the Stinky Tofu stall is easily recognisable for its long queue and photographs on the store front. It is also quite tasty and the smell is alright.
