Tamoya Udon (Plaza Singapura) – Truffle Tonkotsu Udon & $3.90 Nett Tea Time Promotion

With the closure of Liang Court, Tamoya Udon fans now have a new outlet to get their noodle fix – at the bustling sixth floor of Plaza Singapura. Think a refurbished, more spacious version of the original outpost that opened some seven years ago!

In celebration of their new outlet, Tamoya Udon has also launched an exclusive new flavour, the Truffle Tonkotsu Udon ($11.80) that packs an umami punch. An appetising aroma of truffle greets you as a fresh bowl makes its way to your table, and each slurp of the creamy, rich pork bone broth yields umami flavours with a subtle aftertaste that’s reminiscent of cheese.

Equally comforting are the chewy udon noodles cooked al dente to yield a solid bite – a testament to the store’s effort at making ‘em noods in-house daily. Add tender chashu slices, mushrooms, corn, and Japanese leek to the mix, and the Truffle Tonkotsu is an absolutely delicious new arrival to Tamoya Udon’s appetite-whetting menu. It’s not overly rich, either, so you won’t feel that dreaded bloatedness upon finishing your bowl.

Aside from crunchy tempura dishes and oden available from $1 a piece, diners can get their fill of Tamoya Udon’s signature dishes at $3.90 nett from Monday to Friday, 3pm – 5.30pm.

Selected dishes include the signature Black Garlic Tonkotsu Udon ($6.90), Beef Udon ($6.90), Pork Udon ($5.90), and Lake Udon ($3.90).
