Looking for fun things to do in Johor Bahru?

TuduDIY (Tufting & Creative Workshop) will make your time worthwhile if you are into arts and crafts!

About an hour’s drive from customs, it is situated in Taman Sutera Utama, surrounded by various F&B establishments and within walking distance of Sutera Mall.

TuduDIY is on the second floor, above Sik Gaek Korean Family Restaurant. Reservation is recommended so that the staff can make preparations ahead of your arrival.

Available here are Tufting (from RM138), Doll Painting, Glass Painting (e.g. Phone Cases and Frames), Fluid Bear (from RM20) and more.

For tufting, you can choose your design and have your artwork upgraded into a Cushion RM30 and MIrror Frame RM20/30.

The space is decorated with lots of beautiful art pieces too.

You don’t have to worry even if you are a beginner to tufting. The staff will patiently explain the whole process. It was quite easy to master after a while.

My Rainbow Flower Tufting RM218 is sized at 50x50CM. There are many colours for the yarns and you can pick the one you prefer.

The gun can be quite heavy and I held it for close to four hours.

After completion, you can leave the artwork behind for post-processing (i.e. touching up and trimming) and opt for it to be made into an anti-slip rug or hanging wall art at no extra cost. I went back to collect after three weeks.

Overall, it is very enjoyable and fulfilling.
