O Cha Rot, Phuket – Michelin Guide Beef Ball Noodle Restaurant

O Cha Rot, a Michelin-recommended restaurant in Phuket Old Town, is known for its beef ball noodle soup.

Everything is in Thai, no English menu here. Apparently, the Beef Ball Noodle Soup is priced at THB 65.

I dropped by on a Wednesday morning around 8:15AM and the place was almost full. Most customers finished their meal after a while.

Iced water is served free of charge here.

The counter is clean and well-kept.

You can choose your desired type of noodle.

The proteins included are beef balls, beef brisket and beef slices. There are also spring onions and bean sprouts in the soup.

The beef brisket is soft and nice, while the beef balls are firm and bouncy. Unfortunately, the beef slices, spotting a hint of pink in the centre, are not as tender as expected.

The soup is light and pleasant in taste but could be more flavoured.

Fortunately, there are condiments, like chilli flakes and tangy Thai sauce, available on the table to spice it up.
