VCR Cafe Coffee & Cakes in KL Malaysia – Best Crab Burger

VCR Cafe is located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur City, at Jalan Galloway.

It is snugly nestled along a row of colourful shophouses. The cafe entrance features a beautiful pebbled walkway through the alfresco. Walking through those doors you will be greeted by a spacious interior with high ceiling and the smell of coffee.

Brunch food is served from 9AM – 6PM with interesting dishes like Turkish Style Eggs RM25 and Unagi Affair RM26 in a croissant while not forgetting usual favourites like the VCR Big Breakfast RM36 and Scandinavian Breakfast RM30. 

All-day dining menu ends at 9PM, and we had especially came to VCR to try their popular Soft Shell Crab Burger RM26. 

The Soft Shell Crab was deep fried and it was crispy on the outside while moist and meaty within. The burger buns were slated with their Homemade Tartar Sauce, Pickled Cucumbers and Onion Jam before being topped with a Furikake Sunny Side Up.

The portion of the burger was just nice to fill you up while leaving some space for desserts.

The yolk flowed beautifully and got soaked into the very fluffy buns. I love the extra touch of furikake which added umami-ness to the overall dish. As for the crab itself, it was just the right proportion to the buns. First bite in and I was swooned by it!

This was truly a good crab burger I haven’t had in a while.

VCR is really worth a return trip to try out the rest of the menu and cozy ambience.
