WOLO Bukit Bintang Boutique Hotel Stay near Pavilion KL Malaysia

WOLO Bukit Bintang is a boutique hotel situated in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. I love that it is easily accessible to various parts of the city and there is a train station just nearby. Along the streets are malls and dining establishments, which in my four nights there, were bustling with activities.

If you are looking for a decent place to stay and don’t want to splurge on big hotels (there are many nearby!), WOLO Bukit Bintang could be one of your choices for its cleanliness and quality of rooms and of course, the location. The pickup and drop off area though, is the small patch of space right in front of the hotel.

There are two restaurants within the building – Mr Chew’s Chino Latino Bar (penthouse) and Brasserie Fritz (ground floor). Step out and you would find the striking McDonald’s sign just directly across the road. Watsons is a few stores down.

Within walking distance, there is this Chinese food court called Hutong in Lot 10 Shopping Complex (it’s an escalator down), J’s Gate Dining (a Japanese food enclave) at the top floor of Lot 10, Changkat Bukit Bintang for a stretch of drinking holes and Pavilion KL Mall just a two-minutes walk down.

Registration is at the lobby and there is a Wine and Cigar lounge too.

WOLO Bukit Bintang adorns its lift and walkway with glitter glass/walls while assuming a posh-looking black theme which creates an air of mysteriousness.

The room, in my opinion, is rather spacious with a window. There are some rooms here that don’t have windows.

The entrance leads to either the bedroom or bathroom, with partitions to close off the area.

There is a floor-length cabinet (with mirror on the front) that opens to a washing area with amenities, storage and safe.

The aircon worked slowly so it’s best to close the partition which would allow the room to cool down faster.

The bathroom is huge with two shower heads!

Some complimentary teas and coffee sachets are on the table. The tea holders are really cute.

The platform bed faces the flat-screen TV and window that has a nice view of  KL. The bed was actually quite comfortable, and comes with two pillows and two huge back cushions too.

I am very pleased with the TV quality and channels available. Many times I got fuzzy TV screens and sad channels to pass my night but WOLO’s TV is excellent! The screen is clear and there are several good channels to play.

There was a live band just across the road every night I was there. The singers were really good and the crowd was huge each time. Even after 10PM when most of the shops are closed, I am happy to welcome some entertainments like this. I could still hear some music even from my room.

This performance was during my first night in KL. I was totally mind-blown by the powerful lead singer and the man in pink who danced fluidly to the beats. It would be great to have more of such vibrancy in our city too.
