Woodlands Ramadan Bazaar – New Stalls for Lemang, Corndog and Rojak from 22 March to 19 April 2023

From 22 March to 19 April 2023, bask in the festivity at the Ramadan Bazaar, located at the field between Woodlands MRT Station and Causeway Point.

The stalls are spread out with ample space for queuing and walking. I like the current layout compared to the previous pasar malams.

Several new stalls have sprung up, many of which are halal too, i.e. The House of Lemang and Ministry of Rojak. There is a stall selling corndog and fried Oreo and another selling Taiwanese churros in assorted flavours. I also spotted stalls offering nasi lemak and laksa that have yet to open during my visit.

Returning stalls continue to offer street food like skewer, ramly burger, grilled king oyster mushroom, twisted potatoes and kebab wrap.

Meanwhile, I am back to Ikan for the freshly grilled otah. Often, one person will mend the grilling while the rest of the staffs prepare the otah on the spot. There is the Original Fish (Five for $3.90) and premium ones like Squid, Prawn, Scallop, Rendang, Crab and Sambal Chilli (Five for $4.90). Mixing is allowed for up to two premium flavours. The Sambal Chilli can be really spicy but shiok. Otah with dried rendang filling is quite interesting.

There happened to be a short queue for the popular ChubTutu that night hence I managed to get my hands on several tutu kueh. Some unique flavours to try are Mentaiko, Salted Egg Custard, Chicken Mushroom, Watermelon and Osmanthus.
