Xing Fu Tang 幸福堂 Taiwan’s Popular Bubble Tea Pop-up in Takashimaya Singapore
News has been that Xing Fu Tang 幸福堂 will be coming to the East side of Singapore soon in Century Square. Amidst anticipation of its official opening, it is now running a pop-up at Takashimaya basement two. From 30 May to 16 June 2019, check out Xing Fu Tang for the popular Brown Sugar Boba Milk $5.30 and the Damascus Rose Tea with Lemon $4.30.
Xing Fu Tang is a known Taiwanese Bubble Tea brand and what’s so unique about it lies in the stir-fried pearl.
The queue at Xing Fu Tang’s pop-up in Takashimaya was long in the first few days it opened. I went on 6 June night time and while the queue was long, it moved fast. I got my bubble tea in less than fifteen minutes.
The milk was really smooth, creamy and thicker than the other bubble teas I have had. The sweetness mainly came from the brown sugar which I felt could be hotter such that it would melt and mix easily into the milk. The pearls were firmer and chewier, but creates a good mouthfeel for its size.
The pearls are made batches by batches on the spot.
