Yang Xiao Xian Singapore Mango Ice – Taiwanese Shaved Ice with toppings like Mango Pomelo Sago, Red Bean Taro and Strawberry in Orchard Gateway

Known for its mango shaved ice, the popular dessert brand from Taiwan, Yang Xiao Xian (Mango Ice), has finally opened in Orchard Gateway, Singapore. Located across Scarlett Supermarket, the brightly lit dessert shop offers a range of Chinese desserts, mainly shaved ice, herbal jelly and tea drinks.

There is currently an opening promotion from 6 to 10 March 2023 where the amount spent over the counter will be credited back to your membership wallet or any amount of top-up will be x2 into your membership wallet. Joining of membership is free and allows you to enjoy the desserts at a few dollars less.

The signature Mango Milk Ice is available in three sizes – $13 for one pax (with durian, milk or mango-flavoured base to choose from), $22 for two pax and $33 for three to five pax. The shaved ice is fluffy soft and drizzled in mango sauce.

Another highlight is the Mango Pomelo Sago Ice ($12 Small, $23 Large) which has toppings like chewy handmade taro balls, pomelo, fresh mango and coconut jelly. The toppings are nice and the shaved ice tasted more like mango ice cream.

The menu also has Melon Milk Cotton Ice $24, Treasure Milk Tea Ice $12 with boba, Strawberry Milk Ice $13, Yam Ball Milk Tea $10 and Red Bean with Grass Jelly $11.

The portion for one pax is decently sized.

On my second visit, some items are marked unavailable and I was told that they would return to the menu in two weeks or so.
