5 The Moments – Ice Cream Waffles & Brick by Brick Craft Beers
Savour four types of Brick by Brick’s craft beers at 5 The Moments cafe. Brought in by Salutventures, these beers are good to be drunk on their own or paired with the range of ice cream and waffles in-store.
There’s the Naked Seal (Pale Ale, 5.8%), Bosun’s Moustache (American IPA, 6.0%), Eel Legs (Unfiltered Lager, 5.3%) and Running Dune (Witbier, 4.5%). Yes, the names sound quirky, but the taste profile is no joke.
Our favourite has got to be the Running Dune, made of wheat and barley malt. It’s refreshing, crisp and more ‘neutral’ taste makes a satisfactory pairing with the ice cream. The Bosun’s Moustache fares better separately, if not, with a milder-tasting/vanilla ice cream.
The good thing is 5 The Moments open till late, about 11:30PM on Fridays and Saturdays. You can still get a quick beer fix after dinner with their ice cream that wouldn’t go wrong as a dessert.
There are waffles flavours like Pandan, Charcoal, Red Velvet and Matcha alongside homemade scoops of ice cream such as Sea Salt Gula Melaka, Sabai Sabai, After Dinner, Black Sesame and more. Just stack it and make a threesome on a freshly baked waffle.
