BreadTalk’s First-ever Non-Cake Taro Osmanthus & Raspberry Lychee with Bread Toast Base for Mother’s Day

Following BreadTalk’s realistic Toilet roll-lookalike ROFL cake that’s been trending on the net recently, BreadTalk is back with something new and different for the upcoming Mother’s Day.

If yearly Mother’s Day cakes are passé, why not try a non-cake version for once! With a clever switch in their recipe, BreadTalk introduces the Taro Osmanthus (芋头桂花) and Raspberry Lychee (覆盆子荔枝) that comes with a non-cake base (where the original cake base is being replaced with bread toast instead).

Using Taiwan-imported Dajia Yam, the Taro Osmanthus features smooth yam paste and yam mousse between the soft bread toast layers while the Raspberry Lychee is a beautiful ensemble of luscious lychee mousse, raspberry mousse and raspberry rose coulis.

Both creations are priced at $14.80 each (11cm in diameter) and perfect for sharing between one to two people.
