PS.Cafe (Great World) – New Indian-inspired Dishes like Lamb Pilaf Pie, Masala Roast Chicken and Spiced Biryani Salad

PS.Cafe has long established its roots in Singapore as a homegrown favourite brand. Popular for its truffle shoestring fries, tall cakes and sticky date pudding, PS.Cafe is and will always be my favourite place for an afternoon respite and dinner.

Situated at the newly revamped Great World, PS.Cafe spices up its menu with a new flavour profile. The use of Indian spices and herbs is introduced to several new dishes which are also exclusive to the outlet at Great World. Additionally, save some stomach space for a brand-new series of dessert lineup from the bakery too.

Menu

The Spiced Biryani Salad $26 takes on a unique Asian twist, with the addition of spiced basmati rice, whipped goat’s curd and honey masala vinaigrette, on top of classic ingredients like the spiced pumpkin, cauliflower, raisins, cashews and spinach.

The star of the night goes to the Lamb Pilaf Pie $36, covered in a crispy puff pastry lid studded with nuts that crunch under every bite. Within this giant pot pie is slow-cooked lamb shank, basmati rice and spiced cauliflower, while a pineapple and mint raita dip is served on the side. The portion can easily feed two.

Another highlight is the Impossible Bombay Koftas $28 which features Impossible plant-based meat, in place of the Middle Eastern meatball. The dish is richly flavoured and comes with an assortment of cauliflower and potato hash, tomato, cucumber and tangy mint salad.

The Masala Roast Chicken $33 surprises with its extremely tender meat. Marinated, sous-vide and roasted, the succulent half chicken is laboriously treated to perfection and by far one of the best I have had.

The other two new exclusive dishes include the Flame Grilled Tandoori Chicken Sandwich $26 and Kashmiri Lamb Chops $39.

Then comes dessert – the highly anticipated course of the meal.

Begin with the Cinnamon Dipping Fingers $7, comprising of long crispy puff pastry sticks and a fabulously rich and fudgy homemade chocolate dip, the way I like it.

Also, relish in the PS. Banoffee Pie $10 (my personal favourite), the back-by-popular-demand Burnt Rum & Raisin Cheesecake $12, topped with macerated raisins and burnt rum sauce, Giant Lemon and Passionfruit Eclair $9 and Chocolate Profiterole Stack $16.
