Cheeky Bee Hoon 麒记米粉, Lucky Plaza Food Court – Robust Clam Noodle Soup and Charcoal You Tiao Otah

Cheeky Bee Hoon 麒记米粉 has recently opened at Asian Food Hall in Lucky Plaza.

I visited last month during work lunch time. There was a short queue but it took over an hour, hence I eventually had to order as takeaway.

The brand is helmed by renowned chef Darwin Wong and popular for its handmade noodle, charcoal you tiao and crab dumplings.

Have a taste of everything in the Cheeky Signature Bee Hoon $10.50 which comprises of clams, sliced pork and meat balls. There is also a Mixed Pork $5.80 and Lala $7.80 option. The dry version, Cheeky Braised Pork Bee Hoon $7.80, is another must-try too.

The sides seems equally appetising as well.

Menu

I had the Cheeky Lala Bee Hoon $7.80 in soup version. The soup is robust and umami, making it really addictive and delicious.

The noodle is firm and bouncy. The clam tasted great with the soup. There are some sliced pork and cabbage within.

The Charcoal You Tiao Otah $4.80 is probably one of the best stuffed Chinese fried dough I have had. Each piece is stuffed with soft, spicy otah, in contrast to its crunchy exterior.

The Fried Crab Dumplings $4.80, on the other hand, is a let down. The filling is bland and overpowered by the oily taste of the skin.
