Cielo at Trisara, Phuket – Mediterranean Restaurant by the Beach

Cielo is a Mediterranean restaurant in the luxurious Trisara resort in Phuket.

It’s full-day dining menu showcases beloved Mediterranean delights, brimming with colours and flavours of the cuisine. Blessed with the region’s diverse local produces and fresh catches directly from the sea, dishes at Cielo are tastefully crafted while presenting the best of Phuket.

Take your pick – enjoy a serene dining experience in the alfresco facing the seafront or lounge in one of those cosy seats indoors.

Menu choices include raw starters, oysters, salads, soup, seafood, meat and desserts. There is quite an option for vegetarians too.

The meal commences with tantalising bowls of soup – Bouillabaisse THB 550, Minestrone THB 450 and Phang Nga Crab Bisque THB 650. The latter comes with an actual crab leg in velvety smooth crustacean broth.

Hop onto a refreshing start with the Crispy Fennel THB 600, accompanied with juicy oranges, pomegranate and pine nuts.

Meanwhile, the must-try Spicy Baby Octopus THB 650 is surprisingly fork-tender and saucy with tomatoes.

Even the Cobia Ceviche THB 650 is no let-down as it rewards our tastebuds with a mix of fresh tangy flavours.

The hearty mains is a sight to behold.

Revel in table-side showmanship by chef Notty whom expertly carved, sliced and laid each dish before serving.

Satisfy the meat cravings in you with the Smoked Australian Lamb Cutlets THB 2000 paired with chimichurri sauce and cauliflower tabbouleh as well as the Bueng Kan salt crusted Wood-fired Veal Chop THB 2200.

The Wood-fired Tiger Prawns ATAHBA 1380 easily stole the limelight. Its thick succulent flesh, lavished with the pretty colours of chilli, garlic and parsley, is simply heavenly.

Another highlight is the Andaman Whole Seabream THB 1800 that is baked in an interesting seaweed-fennel salt crust. Savour the delicate flavour of the fish, enhanced with creamy bourbon sauce and a light drizzle of lemon.

All four desserts won my heart. Each one is exquisitely done and distinctive on its own.

The signature Pineapple Rum Baba THB 390 is remarkable, complete with a theatrical fire show and a boozy uplift in each bite of the cake.

Recommended ones also include the Tiramisu THB 390 made with Thai coffee and Phuket Chocolate Mousse THB 450 layered with banana served three ways.
