KFC Malaysia vs Singapore – Cheese Fries, Whipped Potato, and Fried Chicken

I have lost count of my JB trips made solely for a KFC fix there.
The KFC in Malaysia just hits differently, and the menu is also more varied.
My ultimate favourites are the cheese fries (with skinny fries), whipped potato (large size), and popcorn chicken, which sadly are all no longer available in Singapore.
Sharing my thoughts here.
I find the Fried Chicken in Malaysia to be more tender and juicier. However, the quality can vary depending on the outlet.

Personally, I still find the skinny fries better in taste than the chunky ones used in Singapore. I had it once in Singapore and never ordered again. They were potato-y but bland.
KFC in Malaysia also offers the Cereal Cheezy Fries using skinny fries, and it comes topped with rich cheese sauce and sweet cereal crunch. I like the combination a lot. The fries themselves have a nice crisp and taste.

KFC in Malaysia has Whipped Potato in large version.
I thought that the large one offers a more balanced gravy to mashed potato ratio, compared to the smaller sizes. It also feels a lot more in proportion compared to the medium one.
Singapore used to have the large version, which I always get. Now, though there is an option to order the gravy as a side to a medium-sized whipped potato, it is different. The whole experience, from the portioning to the bowl, just don’t feel optimally right.
I really miss my large Whipped Potato.
