Hai Kah Lang 海脚人, JB – KL Michelin Seafood Restaurant in Taman Sentosa

Kuala Lumpur’s Michelin-recommended restaurant, Hai Kah Lang 海脚人, has another outlet in Taman Sentosa, Johor Bahru. The highly popular restaurant is known for its mixed seafood noodle soup.

The restaurant only accepts walk-in. It was quite packed even on a weekday afternoon when I arrived.

Be greeted by tanks of live seafood at the entrance.

The menu has a lot to offer.

Customers may choose from the fixed bowls or customise the bowls themselves.

Soup base choices comprise of the signature Shaoxing Wine-infused Clear Soup, Soup with Milk RM2, Tomato RM2, Curry RM2 and Tomyam RM2.

There are over 30 ingredients to add to your soup too, including Red Snapper, Fish Maw, Fish Ball, White Clam, Scallops, Flower Crab, Oyster Meat, Baby Razor Clam and Tiger Prawn.

Complete with sides such as Fresh Oyster RM14.90, Fried Fish Head RM13.90, Fried Ribbon Fish RM15.90 and Baby Octopus RM13.90.

The Lala RM11.90 in milky Shaoxing Wine-infused soup is superb. It is so addictive and flavourful with a touch of sweetness. The clams are juicy and generous. Love it!

The Mix Seafood Noodle Soup RM28.90 comes with a range of seafood like prawns, clams, scallops, fish meat and flower crab.

The portion is decent and looks really appetising. The soup flavour is quite light. Ingredients tasted fresh, with the exception of the fish meat being on the tough side.

Hai Kah Lang also has its homemade Sea Bird Nest Jelly Drink RM9.90 served in a cute bottle over ice.
