Halcyon & Crane Singapore – Exciting New Menu & CNY Yu Sheng
Halcyon & Crane is back with a bang this year with a brand new menu and an exclusive Yu Sheng to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year!
New on the menu include the Beef Pastrami & Cheese Croissant Boat $27, Smoke Salmon Bagel $28 and Nutella Banana French Toast, Almond $23 as well as chef’s unique take on the classic risotto and baked rice into two appetite-whetting dishes – Grilled Tiger Prawn ‘Risotto’ $32 and Smoked Duck & Chorizo Baked Black Rice $43.
Menu
The ‘risotto’, made of crunchy corn and multi grains in a pool of creamy pumpkin sauce, delivers a multitude of textures while leaning on the sweeter side. A trio of sourdough toast accompanied the dish to mop up every morsel of the delicious mess, while three tiger prawns perched atop, half de-shelled, with their juicy meat beckoning.
Meanwhile, the crowd-favourite Chorizo Shakshuka $26 is here to stay and easily recognisable in its iconic odd-shaped skillet. Tuck into hearty tomato stew filled with tender chorizo balls, feta cheese and runny eggs, paired with chewy sourdough toast.
For starters, don’t miss out on the addictive Aburi Mentaiko Tater Tots $18. Savour each bite of the tater tot graced with luscious mentaiko sauce and cream cheese, and the tiny pops of ebiko.
Another worthy contender, the Nutella Banana French Toast, Almond $23, is a feast to the belly. The toasts are coated in crispy almond flakes and elevated with a generous filling of Nutella sauce and sliced banana.
Quench your thirst with Halcyon & Crane’s huge selection of beverages, ranging from cocktails to signature coffee and colourful juices like the Grape Cold Brew $14 and Fantasia $14.
Available from 16-31 January 2023, toss to greater heights with the interesting Double Happiness Yu Sheng (for 2) $38. Comprising of Smoked Salmon, Calamari, Yuzu Mustard Sauce, Multi Grains, Hard Boiled Egg, Cashew Nuts, Pumpkin Seeds, Pomegranate, Croutons, Julienne Radish and Carrot, this Yu Sheng boasts a healthier and more nutritious version compared to the ones out there.
