Swirl Go at East Eight Singapore – Lao Gan Ma Spicy Soft Serve and DIY Chunky Swirls with Unique Mix-ins

Swirl Go, a local brand that offers soft serve machines, has a dessert shop located within East Eight at Orchard Gateway, Somerset.

The unconventional location, i.e. housed within a sneaker shop, is probably not the biggest surprise here. Unique to the brand is its one-of-a-kind automated soft serve machine churning out soft serve with your favourite mix-ins, plus a limited edition spicy mala soft serve.

Build-Your-Swirl (from $5.50) comes with interesting mix-ins such as Speculoos, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Mocha Beans and Espresso Brownie that would be swirled together with the soft serve, and toppings like Mini Pretzels and Almond Brownie Brittle. There is a choice of gelato (Vanilla, Chocolate or Salted Caramel (+$1)) or Honey Frozen Yogurt (+$1).

Can’t decide? Choose from three signature specials fixed the recommended combos – Salted Caramel Crunch Chunky Swirl $7.50, Peanut Butter Choc Chunky Swirl $6.50 and Espresso Brownie Chunky Swirl $8.50.

Meanwhile, for a limited time only, the asian-inspired Lao Gan Ma Chunky Swirl $6.50 mixes spicy dried chilli with vanilla soft serve and is complete with sprinkles of crunchy nuts and a Wang Wang rice cracker. The spiciness is mild, accompanied with the sweetness and creaminess of the soft serve and lots of bites and crunch from the nuts.

Overall, it is an exciting concept that allows one to personalise a soft serve in one’s wildest dream.
