Get your dose of Taiwanese street food here at Happiness Wheel Cake 幸福車輪餅. The restaurant sells a range of Taiwanese food and desserts from mee sua, shaved ice and milk tea to these popular round pancakes, also known as wheel cakes.

The wheel cakes are made fresh on the spot.

There are 27 flavours, including unique ones like Salty Egg Sweet Potato RM8, Ham Corn Cheese RM8, Cai Poh RM6, Chicken Floss Yam RM8 and Ice Cream filling RM5.90.

I had the Sweet Potato Yam RM6.

The filling is generous – one scoop of sweet potato and one scoop of yam paste. It tastes earthy without any artificial sweetness.

The wheel cake has a thin crispy skin, which is probably why it can hold a lot of ingredients within.

On the whole, the wheel cake is hearty and I enjoy its soft and crispy combination.
