HiDEAWAY by JAMPA, Phuket – Farm Tour in Tri Vananda by Montara Hospitality Group

HiDEAWAY by JAMPA in the Tri Vananda Wellness Community (established by Montara Hospitality Group), offers a fun and experiential farm tour for guests coming to lunch.

While Tri Vananda is almost 960,000 square meters, the farm occupies 8000 square meters and supplies to JAMPA and PRU restaurants. I also learn that the roads in Tri Vananda is specially designed to manoeuvre around the plants/trees so as to maintain its natural state as much as possible.

With a commitment to sustainable practices and zero-waste concept, food waste and kitchen waste are not actually ‘wasted’. Some are composted to be used back in the farm and some are given as animal feed to the chickens and ducks reared here.

There is a dedicated tour guide/staff to bring us around the farm in a buggy.

The hens. roosters and ducks are free to roam around. The coops appear clean and well-kept.

I was told that guests may pick their own eggs to bring back to the restaurant to be cooked.

Some of the fruits discovered are guava, mango, mangosteen, star apple, pomegranate, Thai cherry and sapodilla. There is also a young cocoa tree.

The Mexican flower is pluck from here and made into a snack at JAMPA’s Experience Menu, which is really interesting and tasted amazing.

On another side of the farm, there are the holy basil, sweet basil (for green curry), baby corn, long beans, papaya, peppercorn and lemongrass (where the green portion is used for curry and the red part is used in aromatic oil), to name a few.
