Hua Zai Frog Porridge Zi Char – Delicious Dried Chilli Frog Porridge & Sambal Lala in Yishun
Hua Zai Frog Porridge Zi Char offers hearty, local food, with frog porridge as its signature.
The a la carte frogs can be prepared in flavours like Spring Onion, Dried Chilli, Herbal Stock, Salted Egg and Ginger. I had mine cooked in Dried Chilli (Extra Chilli). There are many small chillis within the savoury sauce. It pairs really well with the gooey porridge. The frog meat is tender and easily slips off the bone.
The Sambal Lala $16 is generous. The clam is meaty and juicy. The sauce is spicy, tangy and flavourful. There are also bits of tomatoes, onions and vegetables cooked together.
Will definitely order again!
