Tonkotsu Hototogisu Singapore – Charcoal Cha Shu Ramen & Super Black Spicy Ramen at Causeway Point

It’s amazing how time flies! Now the Hototogisu ramen chain has eight outlets in Singapore since its flagship store opening at CHIJMES in 2018.

Every outlet has its exclusive dishes, which distinguishes the specialty in each place.

The newly opened Tonkotsu Hototogisu at Causeway Point offers their signature Charcoal Spare Ribs Ramen $15.90 and Charcoal Cha Shu $14.90 in Tonkotsu broth for this Christmas season. There is also an interesting ramen flavour in the menu – Lemon Ginger Ramen $13.90.

You can also top up $4.90 to complete the meal with your choice of side dish (e.g. Fried Tofu with Bonito Flakes, Fried Chicken and Gyoza) and Houji Cha (Hot/Cold).

We had the Charcoal Cha Shu $14.90 which comes with thick fatty cha shu slices in creamy Tonkotsu broth. The chopped capsicum permeates the taste more prominently when you mix it in.

Meanwhile, the Super Black Spicy Ramen $14.90 features a spicier upgrade from their classic Black Spicy Ramen $13.90. The addition of sriracha sauce and chilli paste is not for the faint-hearted, as it can get really spicy – but truly satisfying!
