KL Bird Park – Huge Free-Flight Aviary to get up close to these cute Feathered Friends

Situated at Kuala Lumpur Lake Gardens, KL Bird Park is home to over 200 different bird species! Divided into four zones, the bird park comprises of a large free-flight space as well as mini aviaries. Get up close to these feathered friends which could be spotted flying overhead, strutting past you or simply resting in the middle of the pavement. Definitely a one-of-a-kind, indelible experience!

Do check out the sign board indicating the timing of various birds activities, which include ostrich/eagle feeding and bird show.

Parrot lovers may enjoy a photography session at the photo booth and a parrot aviary showcasing cockatoos, lories and lorikeets.

There is an education corner where one may observe egg incubation and little chicklings while just directly across the gallery, are these eager-looking ostriches waiting to be fed with vegetables available by the fences for visitors.

The flamingo pond is awe-striking, with its huge landscaped pond occupied by many flamingos (though most are asleep).

Walking through the park, you can occasionally hear the flapping of wings as birds soar overhead or spot them perched on branches. Moreover, there seems to be so many peacocks pattering around so see if you are lucky enough to encounter one with its tail feathers wide spread!

It is lovely to see some owls here too. They look adorable.

Some other birds that can be found here are ducks, hornbills, doves and pigeons.
