Lam’s Garden 林苑 – Popular Twin Towers Crispy Noodles, Fish Head Steamboat & Zi Char Dishes at City Gate, Beach Road

Previously known as Chef Lam at Golden Mile Hawker Centre, Lam’s Garden Chinese restaurant has relocated to City Gate at Beach Road. While reasonably priced, Lam’s Garden is popular for its Fish Head Steamboat (from $30), Twin Towers Crispy Noodles in Superior Broth and other comfort zi char dishes. Helmed by chef Lam Loon Tuck, who had gigs at Shangri-La and Traders and was last seen as the head Chinese chef at Hotel Jen, look forward to his delicious creations only at Lam’s Garden.

The signature Twin Towers Crispy Noodles in Superior Broth $10 is a sight to behold. Creatively served with two giant standing fried noodles over tasty superior broth filled with eggs, it also comes with some seafood like prawns and clams. The portion is good for two to three people.

Another favourite of mine is the Lala in Superior Broth $12 – a generous serving of plump juicy clams served in an addictive, rich and herbaceous broth.

The Bentong Ginger Sesame Chicken $10 is no let-down. The meat is tender and drenched in an extremely flavoursome sauce that would go really well with rice. Meanwhile, the Bentong ginger accentuates the dish with its crunchy texture and sharp, spicy notes.

Some other dishes available in the menu include the Wok Fried French Beans with Silver Fish $8, Fu Rong Egg $8, Curry Fish Head $25, crispy Har Jiong Chicken Wings $10/$15 and more.

Available for dine-in, self-collection and online order (Call/WhatsApp +65 9638 6387). Please check Lam’s Garden Facebook Page for more details.
