Laut Collective Singapore – Asian-inspired Dishes e.g. Century Egg Thunder Tea Rice & Cocktails for Delivery Islandwide
The brainchild of two friends, Laut Collective is a modest restaurant-bar that offers a South East Asian inspired menu with a focus on regional produce and cultural diversity.
Accompanying the food is a list of cocktails ($48 for 250ml, $88 for 500ml), each with a local twist. Interesting flavours include the Soy, Kumquat, Dragonfruit and more.
Dishes range from tasty bar snacks such the Burnt Eggplant Dip $15 served with curry spiced papadums and Squid Gado Gado $23. to heartier portions like the Thunder Tea Rice $29 and Laut Curry $33.
The Thunder Tea Rice would satisfy ardent lovers of century eggs which can be found generously tossed with rice and petai. Three giant king prawns, butterflied and seasoned, complete the meal with enjoyable tenderness.
Another noteworthy dish which I particularly love is the Laut Curry. Though not as spicy as I have expected, the rendang broth was flavoursome and paired well with the massive succulent seabass.
