Leekaja Beauty Salon (Mandarin Gallery) – Luxurious Hair Colouring & Treatment

Leekaja Beauty Salon, one of the famous hair salons in Korea, has over 200 outlets islandwide. The outlet at Mandarin Gallery is Singapore’s first flagship store and it occupies a rather spacious area on the second level.

Surrounded by beautiful lush greenery, the place exudes calmness and relaxation – the perfect ambience to bask in while you spend several hours here.

Leekaja provides services for hair, nail and foot.

For hair, you can go for a simple haircut and styling to perming, straightening or colouring. Additionally, you might want to keep your hair healthy and lasting with their range of hair treatments, such as the Colour Treatment, Hair Revival Treatment and LKJ Cinderella Treatment.

I decided to go for hair colouring at Leekaja to which Emil, my hairdresser, handled professionally.

The experience here is interesting, compared to other salons I have been to.

Before we begin choosing the hair colour, we did a colour test to see which colour best fits my complexion. Several colour placards were placed under my chin to check how each colour would affect my skin tone. Some of the colours actually make my skin looked yellow or dark which I never noticed before. Eventually, we settled on a purple tone (which also happened to be my favourite colour)!

As my hair has already been bleached before, I was recommended not to bleach again as the colour change would still be obvious on my hair (i.e. my hair ends are much brighter). Several inches of my hair had to be snipped away due to splitting ends too.

During the process, my hair was also treated to Olaplex Bond Perfector No.2 (to repair damaged hair, recommended for salon use only), Tokio Outkarami Premium Air Treatment ( to protect and prolong treated hair) and Shiseido Luminoforce Brillance Oil (for shine and protection against UV radiation). Products used are premium and you can try to find them online for self application at home too.
