Les Bouchons Rochester – Quality French Cuisine, Steak Frites, Foie Gras and Curated Wines

Les Bouchons opens its third Singapore outlet at Rochester Commons, bringing classic French cuisine and quality steaks to the neighbourhood. The restaurant occupies a two-storey bungalow and comprises a rarely seen pétanque court, where diners may immerse themselves in the French sport over an apéritif or two.

Over at Rochester Commons, Le Bouchons boasts a wider menu selection and exclusive dishes compared to its outlets at Ann Siang Hill and Robertson Quay.

New entrees that are worth exploring include the Terrine de Foie-gras “Maison” $26 served with onion chutney and toast, the luxuriously rich French Ceps Soup with Truffle Oil $16 and French Heirloom Beetroot Salad $17 which features three types of beetroot.

Indulge in hearty mains such as the Grilled Beef Wagyu Onglet $58, Grilled Sirloin Wagyu $78 (a magnificent slab of melt-in-the-mouth Japanese Hokkaido Black Wagyu MB +6/7), Grilled Canadian Pork Chop 400g $44, Grilled Lamb Chop with Herbes de Provence $48 and Poulet aux 40 Gousses d’Ail $32 cooked using as many as 40 garlic. The dish features half a chicken, which is rewardingly moist and tender.

The desserts are equally noteworthy – from the must-have Crème Brûlée $13 featuring a well-balanced sweetness touched with hints of orange Curacao to the affordably priced Truffle Brie “Maison” 50g $10 that takes the shape of a cake blessed with a delicious layer of truffle pate. Moreover, the rich and indulgent Double Chocolate Lava Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream $15 is not to be missed too.

Complete the meal with wine choices of up to 100 labels, including old and new worlds and vintage selections.
