Let’s Kinn BRO – Seafood Hot Pot and Thai Steam Seabass at Crown Centre in Bukit Timah

The sister restaurant of Let’s Kinn THAI in Tanjong Pagar, Let’s Kinn BRO is the latest hotspot for Thai cuisine in the Bukit Timah area.

It was quite crowded on a Tuesday night. Located at Crown Centre, it is a ten minutes walk from Botanic Gardens MRT Station or one bus stop away.

The signatures here are the hotpot available in seafood and meat options – River Prawn Seafood Mama Hot Pot (from $42.90) and MaMa Meat Lover Hot Pot (from $34.90).

Smaller portions include the Seafood Tom Yum Soup $11.90 and Tom Yum Soup with River Prawn and Seafood $24.90.

The River Prawn Seafood Mama Hot Pot ($42.90 for two to three pax) is filled with a generous portion of springy noodles and cabbages, crowned with prawns, mussels, clams, squids, button mushrooms, enoki mushroom and two egg yolks.

The tom yum soup is addictive, robust and not too spicy. The seafood tasted slightly tough.

The Thai Steam Seabass with Lemon $29.90, on the other hand, is a whole slab of meaty fish served on a fish-shaped tray. The sauce is tangy and refreshing, and underneath the fish is a bed of assorted crunchy vegetables.

For sides, there are choices like Laab Moo Scallop Pizza $12.90, Tempura Cheese Shrimp Balls $10.90, Prawn Cakes $13.90, Thai Moo Ping (from $3.90) and Fresh Oysters with Thai Sauce $19.90.

The Lamb Moo Scallop Pizza is actually scallop bits mixed with other ingredients in a creamy sauce. The saving grace is the chilli sauce on the side which elevates the dish with a zesty, spicy kick.

No Thai food is complete without Thai Milk Tea $3.50. Rich and earthy with a well-balanced sweetness, this tasted great.
