NEW Nitro Cold Brew Tea, Cakes and Catering from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf
The coffee scene is ever-changing. One moment there’s drip coffee, then comes the hype for fancy latte art, and the next thing you know, you can have your face stamp onto the surface of your coffee.
Lately, Nitro Cold Brew is fast becoming a trend in Singapore. It is like your modernised coffee, pumped through a machine to achieve a taste and texture different from the ones you usually have.
Following the successful launch of their Nitro Coffee, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has decided to launch the Nitro cold brew tea for non-coffee drinkers and those who seek a different tea experience.
The tea flavour available will be Peach Jasmine and the limited edition Nitro Cold Brew Peach Jasmine will be sold at selected stores from 14 March to 2 May 2018.
This specially concocted blend comes from steamed green tea leaves and Jasmine flowers’ petals, then cold-stewed for 5 hours and infused with real peach puree.
Nitrogen will be infused into the Peach Jasmine Cold Brew before it is pulled from the tap and served. The laborious preparation of the Nitro Cold Brew tea paid off, and what you get is a luxurious velvety smooth beverage with a touch of creaminess that spreads over the rim of your tongue. It reminds me of drinking frozen beer, a constant chillness packed within each gulp of the drink.
Besides Nitro Cold Brew, the Peach Jasmine can also be savoured as a Cold Brew or Sparkling.
Prices are as followed:
Nitro Cold Brew: $6.80
Cold Brew/ Sparkling: $6.70 (s), $7.20 (r), $8.20 (l)
Another new addition to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is the Espresso Chocolate Cake $9.90. Featuring a cylindrical moist chocolate cake, espresso shot is being poured over, followed by a dollop of whipped cream. The combination of sweet and bitterness marries into a well-balanced taste that I quite enjoyed.
For those looking at more than just cakes, speciality coffees and teas, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf offers all-day breakfast and a full page menu for lunch and dinner too.
The Mediterranean Sandwich $13.90 comes with a vienna bread layered with feta cheese spinach, turkey ham and two poached egg drenched in hollandaise, and a side of juicy mushrooms. There are also Pancakes $8.90, Breakfast Platter $12.90 and Avocado Tuna Melt $13.90 amongst the breakfast items.
Carb-loving friends can opt for the recommended Seafood Spaghetti $10.50 and Creamy Seafood Fusilli $14.90 or check out the Monthly Specials too.
For the month of April, the Salmon Risotto $14.90 would make an appearance. Unlike the classic risotto, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s rendition is wetter, lighter in taste and comes with softer rice grains (we heard that the chef might be making some tweaks to the recipe).
Be it gatherings, birthday parties, or corporate meetings, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is able to cater to your needs with a series of Party Pack bundles.
Savoury bundles include Mini Sandwiches ($35 for 20), Mini Quiches ($39 for 20), and the Deluxe Canape Sampler ($39 for 20) which include items like Salmon Gravlax vol-au-vent, Egg Mayo Tart and Tuna Mayo Puff.
Dessert bundles comprise of Almond Fruit Tarts ($59 for 20), Mad About Brownies ($55 for 20) and Oh-So-Cheesy ($42 for 20) where you get to choose from a selection of different flavoured cheese cakes.
Other in-store cakes can also be purchased as well.
