Sanyang Macau Lamb Pot 三羊澳门秘制羊腩煲 is a hidden gem in Skudai, Johor Bahru, about 30 minutes car ride from custom. The Chinese restaurant is known for the signature lamb pot and lamb dishes which feature various parts of the lamb.

Available are two differently flavoured pots – Sanyang Specialty Macau Lamb Pot (RM58 Small, RM108 Large; Spicy or Non-spicy) and Golden Chicken Abalone Pot (RM68 Small, RM128 Large).

The pot also doubles up as a hotpot where other ingredients can be added in to be cooked together.

The restaurant is spacious and well air-conditioned so you don’t have to worry about the temperature getting warm here.

There is a lunch set menu applicable from 11AM to 5PM for one pax. It is reasonably priced at RM20.90 for Golden Chicken Pot and RM25.90 for Macau Lamb Pot, with a choice of noodles or rice.

The lamb pot itself comes with beancurd skin, tau pok, radish, mushroom and romaine lettuce, as well as the highlight – lamb brisket.

You might also be interested in adding Lamb Marrow RM25.90, New Zealand Lamb Slice RM28.90, Lamb Liver RM9.90, Lamb Tongue RM9.90 and Lamb Heart RM9.90 into the pot. Alternatively, there are beef, seafood, chicken and pork options.

Cooked dishes like Lamb Skewers (RM4 per stick, RM16 for five), Fried Lamb Rack (RM10 per 100g) and Lamb Bun (RM20.90 for three) look equally delicious.

The lamb pot boasts a rich and nourishing broth that is made from 27 different ingredients using their secret recipe and simmered for up to 16 hours. It is said to contribute to better bone health, improved metabolism and protection against anemia.
