Selling from a pushcart, 日本剪刀式脆皮雞蛋糕 offers six different cartoon-shaped egg waffle cake. As these are made fresh on the spot, the queuing takes a while.
The designs are elephant, chicken pig, pistol, motorcycle and pigeon, and priced at NT $50 for four and NT $70 for six (I think).
The shapes are well-defined. Each egg waffle cake has a crisp layer and is airy soft within. It is best to consume while hot, otherwise, it will become very dry after some time.
Taste-wise, it is not too sweet and leans on the bland side. I wish they come with filling.
