Spice Brasserie’s Seafood Buffet Promo with Crabs, Clams, Hokkaido Oysters & Live Prawns

PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road presents the “Gifts of the Sea” dinner buffet, featuring an eclectic selection of shellfish delicacies. Wildly known for their Crab Buffet that occurs periodically, this new theme sees an elevated shellfish spread. Besides the crabs, new additions include the Steamed Bamboo Clam with Minced Garlic Chili Lime, Baked Hokkaido Oyster, Wok Braised Live “Drunken” King Prawns, Wok Braised Live “San Har” King Prawns Noodle, Homemade Lobster Bao and Nyonya Baked Whole Mackerel Fillet in Chilli Assam Sauce!

Making an appearance is the popular crab dish cooked in various flavours! Whether it is prepared in sauces like the creamy Salted Egg Yolk, smokey Black Pepper, Pumpkin or Chilli Sauce, you will be spoilt for choice. The winner still goes to the Crab Bee Hoon – flavourful bee hoon that was moist and fragrant.

This herbal Wok Braised Live “Drunken” King Prawns was prepared with live prawns and the soup infused with Wu Jia Pi Wine. The prawns turned out to be meaty and crunchy.

The Baked Hokkaido Oysters came topped with hollandaise sauce, lightly torched on the surface. Plump and fleshy, I thought they would be better eaten raw.

Steamed Bamboo Clam with Minced Garlic Chili Lime was very tasty with the generous chopped garlic breathing a new lease of life into the clams.

Flicking the dust off traditional menu was the Homemade Lobster Bao, stuffed with decadent lobster meats wrapped in dumpling skin. The money bag look-alike was then fried till crispy. Cracked it apart and you would find the pent-up fillings spilling apart with promises of meaty indulgence. They should have a permanent seat on the buffet line.

Of course, don’t forget to grab some Chilled Snow Crab Claw on Ice, Sashimi and Sushi too.

Heading to desserts, there is always another stomach to fit them all. Green Tea Chestnut, Swiss Rolls, Mousse Cakes, Fruits and Stick Ice Cream were some of the offerings. Don’t forget the Orh Nee (Yam) Paste which was a hot favourite among us.
