Spinelli Coffee – New Spicy Nasi Lemak Wrap with Rice Frittata

This year, Spinelli Coffee is back on the grind with new product launches every month and sometimes, weekly even.

Following the opening of two new outlets at Our Tampines Hub and Aperia Mall in the first quarter of the year, there is no stopping the coffee company from unleashing the strength of its central kitchen in churning out a wider range of hot meals, sandwiches, salads, bakes and pastries.

Currently, adding to the list of breakfast items are the Asian-inspired Nasi Lemak Wrap $6.50, Ham and Cheese Croissant and Virginia Ham and Emmental Cheese Sandwich.

The all-time local favourite Nasi Lemak is recreated as a grab-and-go wrap without missing the essentials. With each bite, you get the taste of egg and rice against the homemade sambal chilli paste mixed with a generous portion of peanuts, silver fish and crunchy shredded cucumber.

The sambal chilli was shioking spicy with a tinge of sweetness. The highlight, though, lies in the rice frittata. The rectangular block of rice is mixed and pressed with eggs. The texture is surprisingly soft and almost fluffy-like, instead of the stickiness I had expected.

The limited edition Nasi Lemak Wrap comes in a box enclosed with a striking sticker label bearing the quirky tagline ‘Ah Lemak, it’s Nasi in a wrap!’. Surely it’s gonna draw eyeballs.

The new breakfast items are launched on the 25 March and will end on 28 April 2019.
