Trattoria Pizzeria LOGIC – Naples-style Pizza & Italian Pasta in Craig Road

Trattoria Pizzeria LOGIC is a popular authentic Italian restaurant chain in Japan, known for its Naples-style pizzas and other Italian favourites. What makes the pizza recipes even more unique is the craftmanship by Pizzaiolo Junichi Shoji, the winner of the prestigious Napoli Pizza World Championship 2012. Together with Grand Chef Atsushi Terashima, they created a menu ranging from the classic antipasto and salad to a delectable list of Rosse and Bianche pizzas, mains and pasta.

In Japan itself, there is a total of 18 Trattoria Pizzeria LOGIC restaurants, plus one in Ho Chi Minh City. Singapore marks the brand’s second overseas outlet and has opened its door to the public in early October 2019.

As part of its opening promotion, this October, tuck into the signature Pizza Margherita D.O.C at a special price of $9.90 (U.P. $26)!

Menu

At Trattoria Pizzeria LOGIC, the chefs give the utmost quality assurance to the pizza-making process.

The dough of the Naples-style pizzas is made from fresh yeast for the flavour and a shorter texture. Afterwhich, the pizza is cooked in a custom-built 2.1m-high kiln using the Australian Almond and Jarrah tree wood, at 496 degrees Celsius,

Not only does this allows the dough to rise beautifully and develop an airy yet crispy crust, it also gives an intense smokey flavour to it.

The Pizza Margherita D.O.C $26 comes highly recommended. Topped with a cheesy layer of buffalo mozzarella, cherry tomatoes and fresh basil, the pizza is simple at comfort food at its best.

Some other pizza selections include the Pizza Leone $22, Bismarck Rosso $22, Calzone $23, Verde $20 and Quattro Formaggi $26.

Looking for heartier mains? The Fettucine with shrimp in lemon cream sauce $22 and Paccheri with Neapolitan meat sauce $22 are two interesting pasta.

The former is aesthetically stacked with lumpfish caviar and crunchy shrimps in a lemon husk, over a bed of neatly twirled fettucine. It could get quite heavy towards the end and I would suggest some white wine to go along with.

The second dish, on the other hand, features large tube-like pasta, paccheri, cooked al dente. For those who enjoy the chew and texture of such pasta, you might want to try this. The meatballs, though, are juicy and tastier.

The Thin sliced Italian steak Tagliata $32 could have done better with meats that are more tender.

Desserts are exceptionally delicious.

I swear by the Tiramisu $10. It gives a very nice luscious mouthfeel and a stronger than usual alcoholic taste to it. My second favourite goes to the Almond and Ricotta Cake $10 which is packed with a solid amount of crushed almond.

The other two noteworthy contenders are the Panna Cotta $10 and Italian Crème Brulee Catalana $10, also good in their own way.
