Yan Kee Noodle House, Circular Road – Signature Dry Mee Sua & Handmade Fishball Noodle

Previously from BK Eating House, the famous Yan Kee Noodle House has shifted to a standalone stall along Circular Road. Opened for 24 hours daily except Sunday, diners can easily hop over for a delicious midnight supper.

Yan Kee Noodle House is famous for its Signature Dry Mee Sua/ Bak Chor Mee and Handmade Fishball Noodle.

Tossed in vinegar and their specialty chilli sauce that’s made fresh in-house daily, the mee sua absorbs the sauce wondrously. The Signature Dry Mee Sua is not as spicy as expected, though one could always add more chilli if needed. I thought that the vinegar taste could be stronger.

The mushroom is nicely stewed, soft and juicy, and I like that the portion of minced meat is rather generous to go with the bed of noodles underneath.

As for the Handmade Fishball Noodle, the highlights in the bowl are the fishballs, which are bouncy and satisfactory enough.

*Yan Kee Noodle House’s Signature Dry Mee Sua is awarded one of the top 20 in the Singapore River Signatures.

The Singapore River Signatures 2019 edition features the best 20 dishes from F&B establishments located along the Singapore River. The winning dishes are chosen by a panel of four judges based on four criteria – taste, plating, originality and value for money.
