Doma Korean Cuisine, R&F Mall, JB – Fresh Raw Marinated Crab, Korean Stew and Charcoal BBQ

Located in R&F Mall, Doma Korean Cuisine is about 15 minutes walk on foot from JB Sentral.

The restaurant offers charcoal BBQ and a variety of Korean dishes like stews and pancake. Raw dishes like Soy Sauce Marinated Crab RM65 and Prawn RM60 as well as Korean Style Beef Tartare RM55 are available here.

There are also set meals for one pax onwards.

I had the Soy Sauce Marinated Crab Rice Set RM55 which came with two raw crabs, a choice of stew, rice sprinkled with seaweed and lots of side dishes. It was definitely a feast to the eyes and belly. Spread across the table were several types of kimchi and radish, pumpkin slice, pickles, seaweed, seasoned sausages and garlic to name a few.

I chose the Soft Tofu Stew (also available at RM20 for ala carte). It was a surprisingly hearty portion with enoki mushroom, tofu, egg, clams and even soft shell crab too!

The Pork Belly Slice RM38/180g was grilled in the kitchen before being served to the table (probably because it was only one plate). The meat was thickly sliced and juicy with melt-in-the-mouth fats.

The highlight of the meal was the marinated crabs. A Korean delicacy one shouldn’t miss, the crabs here were so fresh and tasty. I wished I had ordered the ala carte portion that comes in four pieces.

Meanwhile, enjoy the meal with a bottle of Jinro Soju RM30 too!

The Korean Style Beef Tartare BibimBap Set RM45 consists of a huge bowl of bibimbap topped with beef tartare and a silky raw egg yolk. Underneath the shredded lettuce and seaweed are pickled vegetables, cucumber and mushrooms on a bed of rice – enough to even feed two persons!
